wine bottle progress

I'm doing "A to Z" wine. What do you guys think? Please give me criticism! In the final version, all the black letters will be cut out of the paper. I'm trying to decide between this tan paper and a white paper. Both of them are really cool, and have some grain/flecks of color/fiber variations, I really like the "natural looking" papers.

I'm probably going to add a little black hangtag, I think it needs something extra and I think that'll do the trick.

Any tips/advice? What do you think about the square on the back of the bottle with all the little type?

  1. Hey Austin!

Got your message. I really like the beige colored label. It just looks warmer.
I'm wondering if it would be more clear if the "to" was on the front of the label as well. I get that you may be going for abstract...but I'm not sure if I would get it right off.
As for everything else...it looks good to me!
    Happy Thanksgiving!!!

  2. HOLLER!

Happy Thanksgiving! I think I'm going to have to disagree with the Wigglemister. I prefer the white label over the tan one. Perhaps we can compromise and go for a cream color?

Can't wait to see all the black letters cut out. You're crazy, but I"m sure it'll look amazing upon completion.

I thought the same thing as Lauren about having the word "to" on the front. I think I'd have to see it in action before I could make the decision of whether or not is should be there. It may seem odd. Maybe not. Just try it.

Lastly, I don't think you need the hang tag. You've kept a very clean and modern design. That seems like it would clutter it up.

  3. Good Stuff, Austin!

I'm leaning towards the white as well. There's just something about the starkness of it with the black and red...it's very clean. About the "to", I don't think you need it because you already have it on the cap of the sleeve, as well as on the back square. And I like the square..maybe just fix the kerning a bit.
